What we work with
We pick the material together with you — based on load, temperature and the environment the part runs in. If your documentation specifies a grade, we follow it.
| Material | Grade | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Stainless steel | X5CrNi18-10 · Č.4580 | Process equipment, food and chemical industry, parts in wet environments |
| Alloy steel | 42CrMo4 · Č.4732 | Shafts, gears, connecting rods and heavily loaded components |
| Structural steel | S235 · S355 · Č.0361 | Load-bearing structures, housings, plates and welded assemblies |
| Tool & heat-resistant steel | 1.2379 · 1.4841 | Parts exposed to high temperature and abrasion — furnaces, rolling mills |
| Brass | CuZn39Pb3 | Bushings, nuts, valve components and fittings |
| Bronze | CuSn12 · CuAl10 | Plain bearings, guides and parts subject to friction |
| Copper | Cu-ETP | Conductive parts, contacts and heat transfer elements |
| Aluminium | EN AW-6082 · 5083 | Lighter assemblies, housings and weight-critical parts |
| Engineering plastics | POM · PA6 · PE-HD | Guides, gear drives, insulating and quiet sliding elements |
| Wear plate | 400–500 HBW | Lining of hoppers, chutes and material handling paths in mines |
Both operations are done on their own too, for parts we did not machine ourselves. Any other protective treatment, if it is needed, we arrange through partners.
Hardening, case hardening and tempering for parts that work under load — gears, shafts, bushings and guides. The cycle suits the material and the hardness the drawing calls for.
Case-hardened gears and guides come out at 55–62 HRC in the case, quenched-and-tempered shafts and axles at 28–34 HRC through section. Hardness is measured and recorded per batch, so the part ships with a reading, not just a statement.
HRC 28–62 · PER BATCHGrinding follows heat treatment, where the drawing asks for tolerances and a surface finish a lathe or a mill cannot give — bearing seats, journals and locating faces.
We grind cylindrical and flat, to IT5–IT6 on size and Ra 0.4–0.8 on finish. The order is not arbitrary: quenching pulls the part out of size, and only grinding takes that distortion off.
IT5–IT6 · Ra 0.4–0.8
Certificates and traceability
When a project calls for a material certificate, we source the material with the mill certificate and tie the heat number to your specific delivery. If no grade is specified, we propose one based on load, temperature and the environment the part runs in.

We review the documentation, check feasibility and come back with price and lead time — usually within two working days.
